Love Island bosses 'sign' Rochelle Humes lookalike sister Sophie for a winter show

Talks for Sophie Piper to be in the summer series of Love Island reportedly fell through, but it’s believed she will now be taking part in the winter edition, which is set to launch on January 12th.

20-year-old Sophie, who is almost identical to her older sister, Rochelle Humes is set to jet off to South Africa next month alongside a string of fellow singletons in a bid to find romance.

Sophie, who works as a model, is no stranger to flaunting her body as she frequently posts raunchy bikini snaps to her Instagram page.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Sophie is a dead ringer for Rochelle and viewers will love the likeness.

It’s believed that Sophie has finally signed on the dotted line to join Winter Love Island

“ITV2 bosses are hoping she will be the star of this series.

“She’s got a really bubbly personality, plus the famous link.”

The publication revealed in April that Love Island execs were desperately attempting to sign Sophie for the summer series.

A source claimed: “ITV2 bosses are really keen for Soph to be the star of this year’s series.

“Last year they had Dani and her claim to fame with dad Danny captured viewers and boosted the show’s ratings.

“This year they’re hoping to do the same with Rochelle and her youngest sister, who’s the spitting image of her.”

The beauty will allegedly be joining TOWIE’s Pete Wicks’ best pal

They went on to add: “Soph is the perfect islander – she’s incredibly beautiful and loves meeting new people after already doing a season in Ibiza.

“She’s currently deciding with her family if it’s the right move for her but it’s looking like a strong possibility.”

The lookalike sisters also have another half-sister, Lilli Piper, who Rochelle was reunited with after Love Island’s Kem Cetinay promised Lilli he would introduce her to her older sister.

Winter Love Island is set to hit screens mid-January, with new host Laura Whitmore taking the reins from Caroline Flack who recently stepped down after becoming embroiled in a domestic disturbance with her tennis ace boyfriend.
