Sunday night saw yet another explosive episode of Love Island Aftersun, as dumped contestants Michael Griffiths and Joanna Chimonides came head-to-head.
But one person unexpectedly stole the show for viewers — Islander Anton Danyluk’s mum.
Sherie Ann Danyluk was seated in the live studio audience, showing her support for the beefy Scotsman all the way back in the UK.
Getting involved in the drama as Michael and Joanna reunited, she shouted: “Don’t do it, Joanna!”
Later, when Michael went to speak, she would let out a loud laugh to make it clear that she wasn’t happy with his behaviour on the show.
Viewers were left in hysterics, wondering whether the outpouring was due to her bubbly personality, or whether something more could have been at play.
One said: “Anton’s mum was VERY animated on tonight’s Love Island Aftersun!”
A second added: “Anton’s mum screaming “don’t do it” to Joanna as she sat down next to Michael is INCREDIBLE.”
And a third remarked: “Anton’s mum drunkenly going ‘don’t do it Joanna!!!’ has actually made my week.”
While a fourth chipped in: “All you can hear is Anton’s mum laughing in the audience at this Michael and Joanna situation. I’m gone!”
Self-confessed “mummy’s boy” in the villa, Anton always speak very highly of his doting mum.
The 24-year-old gym owner also made it clear to his match on the show, Belle Hassan, that she’ll need to win his mum’s approval if they’ll ever have a chance on the outside.
Luckily, proud mum Sherie Ann told host Caroline Flack: “At the start, I didn’t think they were a match, but now she’s firey and is a match with my boy”.
Most Love Island fans will remember his shock confession earlier in the series when he revealed that his mum shaves his bum for him on a regular basis.
Speaking out about it, Sherie Ann told the Daily Record: “It’s something I do every couple of weeks and it’s no big deal in our house.”
Whatever the reason was behind her wacky behaviour on Aftersun, the Scottish lass clearly stole everyone else’s thunder on set with her hilarious antics.
Catch Love Island tonight at 9 pm on ITV 2.
