Love Island fans were left devastated during tonight’s episode when not a single girl picked Hugo Hammond during a challenge, with one saying that they’re ‘dumbfounded’ he was missed out.

On tonight’s episode of Love Island, the islanders took part in a challenge called Line of Booty, where the girls had to dress up as a police officer, perform a striptease and interrogate a boy of their choice – deciding whether or not to give them a kiss at the end.

The game saw drama brew between Kaz Kamwi, Toby Aromolaran and Chloe Burrows, when Chloe picked Toby and snogged him in front of Kaz, leaving her seething.

By the end of the challenge, all of the boys had been placed in jail – all except Hugo, who was left standing on the sidelines.

‘It was sad to see someone left out. It was brutal,’ Hugo said, all the while keeping his head up high.

Love Island viewers were astonished no one picked Hugo, including Chloe, who, despite not being romantically involved with Hugo, is coupled up with him.

‘I am dumbfounded how none of these girls like Hugo?!??’ one person said.

‘I feel so bad for Hugo, the girls are defo missing out,’ another tweeted.

Someone else expressed their hope that someone ‘perfect’ enters the villa for Hugo, because he’s ‘such a sweetheart’.

‘Someone should have picked Hugo even just as a friend, that’s so humiliating for him,’ another stated.

While Hugo may not have been chosen in the challenge, it looks like things in the villa are going to be shaken up a whole lot this week.

Following the arrival of Lucinda Strafford and Millie Court, heads have been turned left right and centre, with Brad McClelland deserting Rachel Finni for and Aaron Francis calling time on his relationship with Sharon Gaffka.

There’s no indication yet as to when a recoupling ceremony is to take place. So who knows where all the islanders will end up?

Will anyone give Hugo a chance? Or will any new contestants enter the villa as prospective matches for him?

Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
