Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu were the latest couple to be dumped from the Love Island villa just two days away from the final, but Mike revealed that one of the hardest moments was not the dumping.

Mike spoke out about his most difficult moment in the villa being when he had to upset Leanne Amaning by not choosing her when the Islanders had a recoupling, despite the pair being coupled up from the start of the show.

On Friday night’s episode, there were plenty of laughs but also a few tears shed as the Islanders got reunited with some of their family members.

Although when the Islanders gathered around the firepit it was announced that Mike and Priscilla’s time was up.

Speaking after his exit, Mike spoke about the most challenging aspects of being on the show.

‘A tough moment for me was having to pick between Leanne and Sophie in the recoupling,’ he began.

‘That was very hard. I have nothing bad to say about Leanne, I think she’s an amazing girl. Same for Sophie. We were all friends in the villa, we were all tight. I didn’t really want to end any of their journeys as we all started them together.’

Although it turns out the former police officer did find love as he and model Priscilla became an official couple after meeting in Casa Amor.

But what does the future hold for the pair now they are flying home?

Mike continued: ‘My plan was always to move to London, which I will do. We’ll meet the family again and friends and catch up, settle back into reality. But my move down to London makes it easier for the two of us.’

As it stands, Siannise and Luke T are still the firm favourites to win the £50,000 prize after he dropped the first and only L-bomb of the series, telling her he loved her.

Paige and Finn are a close second, even if Metro.co.uk’s body language Judi James claims the singer – who proved she has a belter of a voice last night – is actually ‘repelling’ the semi-pro footballer in the latest episode of Love or Lie Island.

Love Island airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV2.
