Love Island 2019: Will Maura Higgins couple up Curtis Pritchard?

Love Island 2019 is full of drama at the moment after a shocking Casa Amor recoupling had implications for lots of the contestants. Tonight’s episode saw Curtis and Amy Hart end their romance but also hinted Maura may be waiting in the wings. Here’s everything we know so far about whether Maura and Curtis might pair up.

Will Maura Higgins couple up Curtis Pritchard?

In a teaser for tomorrow night’s episode, Maura Higgins was seen talking to fellow Islander Lucie Donlan.

Maura told her: “He’s obviously gorgeous, his smile is like f****** hell.

“And like he’s just very manly and I love that.”

The clip then cut to an image of Curtis, implying this was who Maura was talking about.

Maura then said: “I want him to teach me how to dance.”

Lucie’s reaction to what Maura said is one of pure shock as she gasped.

However, it was not clear this is who Maura meant or if she will even admit her feelings for him if it was.

HOW OLD IS MAURA ON LOVE ISLAND?

Maura is currently coupled with new boy Marvin Brooks but viewers haven’t been shown much interaction between the two.

Maura previously told Tommy Fury she fancied him, as well as pairing up with Tom Walker when he came in.

She hasn’t previously given any indication she does fancy Curtis in the past and there’s not been any romance between the pair so far in the show.

Viewers were left upset at watching Amy and Curtis seem to end their romance in the villa tonight.

Confronting Curtis after she learnt more about what happened between him and Jourdan Riane when she was away in Casa Amor, she asked him a number of questions.

She said to him: “I don’t think you ever actually liked me at all.

“I feel like I was an acceptable placeholder until you found someone better. You did but then she coupled up with Danny so you came back to your back-up plan.”

At the end of their discussion, Amy said to Curtis she wants to have a break from their romance.

Curtis replied and told her he didn’t think he could promise to stay loyal to her in the future.

He said: “I’ve meant everything I’ve said but I can’t promise you that won’t happen again and I don’t want to ever hurt you how I’ve hurt you.”

WHO ARE THE LOVE ISLAND 2019 COUPLES?

Amy was clearly upset and said before walking off: “You’re a liar, you’re a compulsive liar.”

The end of the road for Curtis and Amy certainly seems on the cards after this discussion.

So if Maura really feels that way about Curtis and admits her feelings, then drama will kick off in the villa.

Viewers will have to tune in tomorrow night to see just what happens next in the villa.

Love Island returns tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
