Love Island 2019: Viewers in turmoil as Anton makes baffling Boris Johnson revelation

Love Island 2019 has just a few shows left before it is over for yet another year.

Luckily, tonight’s episode of Love Island Unseen Bits produced a number of incredible scenes which were forgone earlier this week.

And with Boris Johnson recently taking on the role of Prime Minister, the islanders decided to take on the Number 10 switch-up.

Discussing who may be Prime Minister when they arrive back in England, Curtis Pritchard motioned that he thought Boris would take on the job.

Anton chimed in to ask: “Isn’t Boris Johnson a tennis player?”

While the islanders around him began laughing hysterically at the baffling comment, Curtis began goading Anton further.

Anton continued by asking: “Didn’t he win Wimbledon?”

To which Curtis explained that, no, Boris Johnson didn’t “win Wimbledon.”

Even Belle Hassan chimed in in disbelief, asking Anton: “Are you dumb? Even I know that.”

Fans of the show loved this exchange, as one wrote on Twitter: “Anton: ‘Didn’t Boris Johnson win Wimbledon?’ Yeah spot on Anton x #LoveIsland.”

Another commented: “Boris Johnson winning Wimbledon, a sight I’d love to see #loveisland.”

While another viewer cleared the situation up, saying: “Hahahahahaha I think you’re thinking of Boris Becker there Anton. #LoveIsland x.”

The team also went on to discuss nominating Ovie Soko as the next Prime Minister.

And fans of the show were extremely excited about this idea, with one telling Ovie: “Your country needs you badly.”

Another one echoed this sentiment, with one saying: “Nah Boris Johnson can go away we need Ovie for Prime Minister I STAN #loveisland.”

However he may have to do it alone, as viewers have recently been predicting he and his partner India would be dumped from the island.

One wrote on Twitter: “I said this days ago why the hell did they stop airing #ovie this show really needs to be called out in the f**kery well you know what EVERYONE VOTE #OVIE AND #INDIA NOW !!!!!!!!!!!! ASAP PLEASE AND THANK YOU.”

Another said: “Not really feeling India. Think she fake. Didn’t know who to vote for but jumping on Twitter made me see sense. OVIE DESERVES THIS.”

A third exclaimed: “I’m not having this… Ovie needs to be in the final. He is absolute perfection.”

Love Island continues Sunday on ITV2 at 9pm.
