Louise Redknapp unfollows Kevin Clifton after revealing she is no longer in contact with Strictly star

Louise Redknapp no longer follows former Strictly Come Dancing partner Kevin Clifton on Instagram. 

The Eternal singer kicked Clifton off her social media feed – but still follows his ex-wife Karen and sister Joanne – and it appears he has returned the favour by pressing the unfollow button on her Instagram too. 

Despite still following each other on Twitter, the Instagram break comes weeks after Redknapp revealed she no longer speaks to Clifton. 

Redknapp admitted to The Sun that she isn’t in contact with her 2016 dance partner, despite a successful show run that took them all the way to the final.

“I haven’t spoken to him for a long time. Not since last year. I haven’t spoken to Kevin in a long, long time and I’ve never met Stacey, so I have no idea,” she told the publication.

It had been claimed that Redknapp and Clifton became good friends while on the show, with Redknapp allegedly confiding in Clifton when her marriage to Jamie began to break down.

But she insists that the end of her relationship with the Sky Sports pundit had nothing to do with Strictly, although she did admit the show “put the fire back in her belly”.

She told the Guardian: “Strictly put the fire back in my belly, but it didn’t break up my relationship. After 20 years of marriage, it takes a lot more than that.”

Last month, it was claimed that Clifton had started dating his last dance partner Stacey Dooley, months after they stormed to victory in the 2018 final. 

The pair appeared to confirm their relationship last week when they shared a sweet snap on their respective Instagram stories.

Dooley’s ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott, who she dated for three years, didn’t hold back in his assessment of the Grimsby-born dancer, branding him an “absolute rat” in a tell-all interview around the time of his split with Dooley.
