Louise Redknapp opens up on ‘rule’ with ex Jamie Redknapp as she admits 'I still love him'


Singer Louise Redknapp, 45, and Jamie Redknapp, 46, went their separate ways after 19 years of marriage back in 2017. In a candid interview, the mother-of-two has revealed she still loves the football pundit as she discussed their family life.

The former Eternal star said the duo are on a friendly level and co-parent their sons Charley, 15 and Beau, 10.

“We have a great system co-parenting them between us,” she divulged.

“Our rule is that while one of us is working, the other is with them.

“We both want the kids all the time and encourage the other to go out so that we can have them.”

The Stretch hitmaker went on to say that the former couple still label the children’s Christmas presents from each other.

“Maybe this works now because neither of us is in a relationship, but I like to think it will always be like that,” she added to Hello! Magazine.

Louise went on to say that she “still loves” Jamie, adding: “After 21 years together how could I not still love him? He’s the father of my boys.

“Jamie’s a great dad and is very proud that our sons love me so much.

The insider added to The Sun: “He seemed pretty keen, and they enjoyed some flirtatious banter over the spring period.”

But, the source went on to say that Louise didn’t want to take things any further.

They added she is unsure about his relationship status and has concerns about an ex-girlfriend of his.

The duo are believed to have met early last year when he auditioned for her music video to single, Stretch.

Elsewhere, the singer recently said she has “issues” when it comes to dating.

The performer said she is “reserved” and isn’t the type to “flirt” with men.

Speaking to YOU Magazine, she said: “I think if I met the right person, but… I think I have issues. I’m quite reserved.

“I’m not that person on the dance floor, flirting with all the men. I’m more likely to go and sit in the corner.”
