Louise Redknapp: Jamie Redknapp’s ex forced to answer whether she's dating THIS star


Louise Redknapp, 44, shares two son Charley, 14, and Beau, 10, with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, 45.

And the singer revealed her children were eager to find out whether some of the rumours surrounding her dating life were true.

Louise said she believed the “double standards were coming into play” when it was rumoured she was dating model and Strictly Come Dancing co-star, Daisy Lowe.

She told the Guardian: “Daisy and I only went out together four times or something. So the idea [that I left my husband for Daisy]…

“I remember my kids saying: ‘Mum, are you going out with Daisy Lowe?’ And I had to say: ‘Guys, no.’”

Louise admitted the constant speculation surrounding her dating life was a lot to handle and was “damaging”.

“I became people’s morning entertainment while they read their paper on the train and ate their croissant,” she continued.

“I tried to laugh it off, but the damage these stories were doing to me and those around me was huge.”

Also in the interview, the former Eternal band member said her divorce with Jamie was a mutual decision.

Discussing the divorce and if she had initiated it, she told the publication: “It was more mutual than that but, yes, I moved out.”

Louise, who reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 partnered with Kevin Clifton, said being on the show gave her “fire” back.

She added: “Strictly put the fire back in my belly, but it didn’t break up my relationship. After 20 years of marriage, it takes a lot more than that.”

Since appearing on the BBC One show, Louise has certainly kept busy having just released a new single, Stretch, and appears in 9 to 5: The Musical.

However, her former father-in-law Harry Redknapp, 72, has admitted he hasn’t listened to her sexy song.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Harry spilled: “No I haven’t heard it.

“I’ve not heard it, I like pop music, I haven’t heard this one.”

Harry added: “I would listen to it obviously, but I haven’t heard her record.”

The ex football manager also said he is yet to see Louise perform in 9 to 5: The Musical.

“Musicals are not my thing,” he said. “I’ve seen Jersey Boys years ago but haven’t got round to that one.”

Talking about his life at home with his wife Sandra, Harry continued: “We don’t come to London very often.

“Where we live it’s very quiet, go to bed at 10pm, we’re not late night people, not London people.”
