Louise Redknapp: ‘He’ll never speak to me’ Jamie Redknapp’s ex reacts to awkward poem

Louise Redknapp, 44, joined Sunday Brunch presenters Simon Rimmer, 56, and Tim Lovejoy, 51, on the Channel 4 show last weekend. The former Eternal bandmate was promoting her latest album Heavy Love, when the discussion quickly turned to her youthful appearance and new saucy music video for Stretch. The age-defying beauty has since taken to Twitter to share a clip from her time on the show, where she admitted her son Charley would most likely not be best pleased. In view of her 134,000 followers, she captioned the short video: “He’s never going to speak to me again!”

It comes after Celebrity Juice host, Keith Lemon, 46, quizzed the singer about her two sons – Charley, 15 and Beau, ten, – whom she shares with her former husband Jamie Redknapp, 46.

In the clip, Keith asked: “Do his [Charley’s] mates come around just to look at you. Ooh fit mum?

“When I was a kid I used to go to my mates because they had fit mums and just go, ‘Hiya’.”

Louise could not refrain from laughing as fellow guests Graeme Swann and Tom Rosenthal chuckled at the Celebrity Juice presenter’s comment.

The Lead Me on hitmaker attempted to mellow the situation before she recalled a time when one of her son’s pals visited their home and referred to her as “babe”.

She mused: “Don’t because Charlie gets so upset about that. He gets really stressed about it.

“It’s like when one of his mates went, ‘Hey babe’. Charlie went, ‘Did you just call my mum babe?’”

However, the humour did not stop there as comedian Tom joined in on the banter and stated he had written the singer a short poem.

Tom said: “Louise, I’ve just written you a poem.”

To which she replied: “Have you?”

The British actor then began: “It goes: Louise is a babe. A real babe. In your face Charlie your mum is a babe.”

Louise chuckled and added: “He’s never going to talk to me again.”

Meanwhile, the hitmaker recently reunited with her ex-husband Jamie as the former couple celebrated their eldest son’s 15th birthday.

The pair took to their respective accounts to gush over their first born’s big day.

Louise shared a gallery of snaps showing Charley from a very young age, to more recent images of him all grown up.

She added the caption: “There’s nothing more special to me in the world than my boys. Happy Birthday @charley_redknapp I love you x #15Today.”

Jamie also posted a selection of throwback images featuring Charley, as he gushed: “Happy 15th birthday @charley_redknapp.

“I’m so proud of you keep working hard and believing in yourself and you can achieve anything you want in life. Love you mate. Dad.”
