Louise Redknapp, 45, has opened up about her sons being seen spending time with her ex-husband and football pundit Jamie Redknapp, 46. The former Eternal bandmate chatted with fans during an Instagram Live video, where she was quizzed on her family life.
The mother-of-two was married to the former footballer from 1998 until they split 19 years later.
Louise and Jamie share two sons together, Charley, 15, and 11-year-old Beau.
The singer took the opportunity to have a talk with fans on Instagram as the UK is currently on lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A social media user asked: “How come you’re boys are with Jamie all the time?”
The singer admitted being pleased to “clear up” people’s misconception of the time she spends with her children.
Louise said: “They’re teenagers. They don’t want me doing it all the time. I’m pleased I got to clear that up.”
Addressing their current whereabouts, she finished: “My eldest son is upstairs watching a movie and my youngest son is out on a bike ride with his dad. So, we’re sharing the kids as always.”
Football pundit Jamie took part in a live Instagram chat last week and explained the former couple are sharing parental duties.
The former footballer said he has been homeschooling Beau while the former couple’s older son Charley is with Louise.
Speaking to Jack Whitehall, he said of Beau: “He’s been really good he’s been doing loads of homework.”
When asked if has been homeschooling their son, he replied: “Of course! He’s got every chance now mate. Don’t worry. We’re doing it. We have a few hours doing that.
The comedian then jokingly asked: “Is it not more Beau schooling you?”, to which Jamie replied, laughing: “We do have a little reading hour.”
