Louise Minchin: BBC Breakfast host shares what Judy Murray taught her amid Susie Dent post

Louise Minchin, 52, regularly takes to social media to give her followers an insight into her life. Today, the BBC Breakfast host, who is a sports-enthusiast, dished on tennis coach Judy Murray, 61, as she made an unknown revelation.

It comes after the broadcaster took to Twitter and reacted to Countdown favourite Susie Dent, 56, who shared her “Word of the Day”.

The Channel 4 star, who sits in Dictionary Corner, took to the micro-blogging as she caused a stir with her latest highlight.

In view of her 741,000 followers, Susie penned: “Alternative, personally relevant, word of the day: ‘snaccident’ – the inadvertent eating of an entire packet of biscuits/giant tube of crisps, when you meant to have just a few.

“I may have mentioned this before.”

Louise was one of the first to respond to the post, as she dished on Wimbledon champion Andy Murray’s mum.

In view of her 205,000 followers, the Breakfast host replied: “I love that word, first heard it from @JudyMurray.”

The latter then cheekily responded: “I first heard it from Susie.”

Fans were quick to respond, as one wrote: “Love it! I believe snaccidents have become more frequent due to the stress of #COVID19 and house arrest due to lockdown, that’s my excuse anyway. I’m just thrilled there’s a great word for it.”

Louise recently opened up about her extended break from the Breakfast show after she suffered an injury.

The broadcaster explained she first sustained the issue when she was training for the “epic extreme triathlon Norseman” in the summer of 2019.

“I loved every minute, right up until the moment when we had finished and started to walk and, I tripped on the pavement, and felt something in my foot rip as my ankle crumpled under me,” Louise explained.

“It was agony, and I felt sick with pain as I hobbled back to the car.”
