Louis Tomlinson is in New York promoting his new single We Made It but the former One Direction star still found some time in his busy schedule to stop and chat to some fans.

We stan a legend.

Leaving a radio station in NYC, Louis stopped to take some photos and sign autographs for fans who had waited for the singer outside the building.

The singer had been at Z100 Studios to chat to radio host Elvis Duran about his new music and to play some songs.

It comes after Louis confirmed his first solo album Walls will be due early this year after the release of his new single, which was released this week, and previous singles Two Of Us and Kill My Mind.

‘I’m really excited to announce that my new album Walls will be available on January 31st…’ he said in a video to fans on Twitter.

‘I’m really relieved to finally be here. Thank you very much everyone for your patience.’

His former band One Direction recently celebrated their nine year anniversary since their foundation.

But with all band members embarking on their respective solo careers and the band having been on hiatus for around three years now, it doesn’t look likely that they’ll be getting back together anytime soon.

While they might not have won the series, the five-piece (which at the time also included Zayn Malik) became the show’s biggest ever success stories.

Although the band has mostly declined to go into detailed reasons behind their separation, Louis recently felt the need to step in, clearing up rumours about what the band’s decision to pursue other projects wasn’t about.

After seeing an article earlier this year that claimed that ‘Drugs, meltdowns and gay sex rumours’, plus rivalry and hatred, tore the band apart, Louis dismissed the story as ‘unprovoked venom’.

‘Biggest load of bulls**t I’ve seen in a while,’ Louis tweeted as he screengrabbed the article itself, adding: ‘Couldn’t be further from the truth!’
