Louis Tomlinson confirms first performance since the tragic death of his 18-year-old sister Félicité.

The One Direction star, 27, is now preparing to go back to work after cancelling promotion for his latest single.

The X Factor judge has joined the line-up for West Midlands’ Free Radio event, Hits Live.

He will be joining chart-topping stars including fellow X Factor winner James Arthur, and Ellie Goulding, to perform top songs live at Arena Birmingham on 4 May 2019.

Mabel, Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi and HRVY will complete the star-studded line-up, which was announced on Friday morning.

Free Radio Breakfast’s Ben Hanlin announced the news on his show, telling listeners: ‘We’re really grateful that Louis Tomlinson will be joining us at Free Radio Hits Live.

‘He’s had two solo UK top 10 hits, over 1 billion streams worldwide, he has more than 60 million followers on social media and was in one of the biggest bands in the world.

‘The final name added to our line-up for Free Radio Hits Live. There’ll be Louis, us and 15,000 others watching an incredible line up playing all the biggest hits live in Birmingham this Spring!’

This comes after Félicité died last month, after a suspected heart attack.

Louis was said to have been left ‘devastated and distraught’ by his sister’s passing, with sources close to the singer praising her as ‘lovable, caring, bright and beautiful’.

The teen, an aspiring fashion designer, collapsed at her fourth-floor apartment in Earls Court, West London.

A person who was with her at the time called 999, with two ambulance crews attending the address.

It was also reported ‘an experienced paramedic and a single responder medic’ attended the scene.

Resuscitation attempts were made on Félicité (also known as Fizzy), however she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’.

The heartbreaking news came after their mother, Johannah, died from leukaemia, back in 2016.
