Louis Theroux has granted permission to a man who requested to use a rather mischievous photo of him on his Barclay’s bank card.

He is really out here helping people one sexy photo at a time.

A fan, along with a screenshot of his potential card, tweeted: ‘@louistheroux Apparently I need your permission to have this bank card… Help a guy out?’

The whole idea was frankly ridiculous considering the photo they chose, but now that we think about it, it’s not a bad idea.

A measly 45 minutes went by before Louis noticed the tweet and replied: ‘Permission granted’.

If that’s how easy it is, it’s time to get a new bank card.

The photo itself looks like it’s the journalist gazing into the eyes of anyone who dared to use their card for the fifth time in an hour.

How dreamy (Picture: Twitter/JamieGR31347874)

Donning a black turtleneck (Steve Jobs who?) and small glasses, Louis apparently thought ‘pose’ meant lie down and lean your face on your hands like there’s about to be a juicy gossip session.

Fans were quick to comment on the hilarious situation, with one tweeting: ‘Does this permission extend to others who might want your face on their bank cards?’

‘I might switch bank accounts just to get one of these. You look smouldering Louis!’ another commented.

The documentary maker isn’t a stranger when it comes to getting himself into strange situations.

He recently revealed to his followers that the five-star review he gave his own book has now been taken down by Amazon.

Louis has just released his latest book, Gotta Get Theroux This: My Life and Strange Times in Television, and shared the glowing review he had given himself on the shopping site.

He wrote: ‘This totally worked! Thank you!’ alongside a screenshot of the review which read: ‘I wrote it. It took a long time to write and I’ve read it several times. I think it’s pretty good.’

No one’s going to be a bigger fan of you than yourself, eh (Picture: Louis Theroux)

Unfortunately, someone at Amazon seemed to spot his review and be a bit of a spoilsport and take it down shortly afterward.

Louis kept his followers informed about this shocking turn of events, writing: ‘Update: Amazon have now removed my 5 star review of my own book!

‘What gives? I’m not allowed to have an opinion on my own work?’
