If Lost in Space season two can generate enough viewing figures, then it will be getting the go-ahead.
Reflecting on where the show could go next, McCurdy said there was a wide scope given the science fiction genre.
He explained: “I think that is the beauty of a spaceship, it can go anywhere it wants which is fantastic.
“The one thing I would love to show is, having done the first season in ice, the second season in the very cold Iceland, it would be nice if they picked a seriously warm planet, somewhere nice with a beach and an ocean. It would be a nice spot to do a third season.”
