Lorraine Kelly's brutal dig at Trump after Biden's sworn in 'Grown ups back in charge'


Lorraine Kelly took the opportunity to highlight moments from Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony. The ITV presenter took to Twitter and appeared to take a swipe at former US President Donald Trump after he exited the White House after four years.

It comes as the 61-year-old shared her delight to see Andrea Hall, a career firefighter, lead the Pledge of Allegiance at Biden’s inauguration.

Andrea, 47, also serves as the president of the International Association of Firefighters in Georgia, the first major labour group to back Biden during his presidential campaign.

In view of her 625,000 followers, Lorraine penned: “Andrea – signing the oath and being amazing.

“I feel like the grown ups are back in charge #InaugurationDay.”

While addressing the crowd of supporters, Trump praised his wife, paying tribute to her “beauty, grace, and popularity”.

“Our First Lady has been a woman of great grace and beauty, and so popular with the people, so popular,’ he said, before welcoming Melania to the stage to share her final words.

Addressing the nation, she said: “Being your First Lady was my greatest honour.

“‘Thank you for your love and support. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
