“My mum dressed me right, she was always proud like that but I may as well of had a sign on me that said ‘kick me’,” she laughed.
After revealing her mum, Anne, is a “proud” person, it provoked Matt to ask how Anne felt about Lorraine starting at a local paper and not going to university.
“They were a bit disappointed, but never said anything at the time,” she said on the BBC show.
“And, of course it turned out alright in the end and my baby brother went to university.
“They got the picture, you know, the very important picture that sits on the mantle-piece with the funny hat, the scroll and the robe? It’s there, so it’s ok,” she said with a smile.
