The singer turned TV personality chatted to the dynamic duo about her role as Anita in The Thunder Girls.
The production is a true celebration of women which is filled with the rise and fall of an 80s girl bad written by Melanie Blake.
Speaking about her new role, Coleen, 54, said: “I play the part of Anita. I can’t go into too much detail but something terrible happens to her before the end of her career in The Thunder Girls.
“So they don’t see her again. She literally goes away, they’ve not heard from her for 30 years. They don’t know if she is alive or dead.
“In the meantime they’ve been offered a lot of money to reunite and one of the girls is trying to get them back together over her house.
“There is so much past behind them so it’s this dinner from hell basically to see if they can get back together.”
Phillip later quizzed Coleen to see if thought the play would be too close to home after being a member of The Nolans with her sisters when she was younger.
Speaking about her reservations, Coleen said: “Melanie, who wrote it, also put the The Nolans reunion tour together and managed us in our 2009 reunion tour.
“My sisters were like ‘is it about it’ but as soon as I read the script, there was not one character in I can relate to any of sisters, especially mine.
“The fact the only similarly was we worked together all our lives, we worked together and then reunited.”
“It was never a toxic fall out. We’re sisters, we’re family.”
Coleen and her sisters haven recently confirmed that they’ve landed their first telly show and singing reunion together in decades.
The Nolans: In the Mood for Cruising will follow Coleen, Linda, Maureen and Anne as they go on their first shared trip and first singing reunion in decades.
Will the girls be in the mood for dancing after spending a lot of time together?
