THOSE lucky Love Islanders lounging by the pool in Majorca are making us all crave sunny climes.
If you are lucky enough to have a foreign holiday sorted for this summer, despite all the Covid complications, you may be thinking kaftans, sun-glasses, beach bags, sun hats and the like.
Here are some savvy buys to get you beach-ready . . .
COVER-UPS: Some of the Love Island swimwear is a bit full-on, to say the least. For a more relaxed vibe, cover-ups such as kaftans, beach dresses and breezy shirts are all great. There is some super value to be had at studio.co.uk, including two-packs of bandeau beach dresses for £12, and floaty kaftans reduced from £8 to £4.
There are also matching Hawaiian short-sleeve shirts for dads and kids — dad’s down from £8 to £4 and mini-me’s from £6 to £2.
SHADES: Stylish sunglasses that protect your eyes, and your family’s, need not cost a bomb. I love the huge selection at Primark — designer-inspired styles for £2 and more basic for £1.
ACCESSORIES: For toting clobber to the pool or beach, do not fork out a fortune on a bag — there are plenty of cheap and cheerful designs to be had.
Matalan’s black polka-dot canvas shopper beach bag is just £8 and I have seen similar at Accessorize for £25. While at Matalan, also check out its brightly coloured range of flip-flops — only £2.50 and so very similar in appearance to designer Havaianas which will set you back £25 at Asos.
SUN HATS: Protect your face and keep the sun out of your eyes with one of these.
George at Asda has great options for both parents and children, and even for newlyweds — the Mrs embroidered floppy hat is just £8, cheaper than similar at KatieLoxton.co.uk for £19.99, and men can get woven hats for the same price.
For the children, you can pick up a bargain pack of two baseball caps for just £3.

Smirnoff’s new Raspberry Crush vodka is just £14 for a 1-litre bottle at Morrisons – that’s the cheapest I have tracked down.
GATINEAU’S DefiLift 3D neck and decollete gel is now available in a super-sized 200ml tube instead of the usual 50ml. But the best bit is you can get it from QVC for £48.98 – when it’s worth £196.
BRING the family together with a six-seater dining set and parasol for £600 from tierraabode.co.uk. Or head to B&Q, which has a similar version for just £190.
