You wouldn’t have necessarily thought it, but beaches and pools are swimming (pardon the pun) with long-sleeve swimsuits this summer. There’s a trend to be had when it comes to cozzies every year, and we’ve already picked out a couple of the best bikinis and a handful of sports swimsuits to get us going this season. But we’re on the hunt for something with a little more coverage, too.
Things like traditional surf-inspired wetsuits spring to mind initially, but a quick Google search reveals there are plenty of options when it comes to long-sleeve swimwear. There’s your one-piece swimming costume and classic rash vest, or more modern alternatives such as cropped styles (to pair with high-waist bikini bottoms) and long tunics for those who wish or need to conceal as much as possible. Whether you prefer an athletic look or simply want a little more sun protection, a long-sleeve swimsuit is as tempting as taking a dip in the sea. You can never own too much swimwear in our opinion, especially when you can wear pieces out of the water too (think bodysuits or crop tops). Long-sleeve swimsuits are the ultimate versatile addition to make to your chest of drawers, not to mention how popular they’ve become since Adele posted a pic of her wearing one on Instagram, so you can bet we’ll be adding several to our poolside edits.
