Logan Paul and Tana Mongeau have confirmed the photos of them on dates together was all a set up to ‘troll the internet’.
Tana had split from Logan’s brother, Jake Paul, in January after less than six months of marriage, and the pair decided to make their own headlines with a fake relationship.
In a new video uploaded by Logan, he’s recorded on the infamous lunch date with Tana speaking into a lapel mic about the date being fake.
He says: ‘Tana and I, on our first date. I can say without a doubt that it’s so far one of the most horrifying experiences of my life.’
Tana then responded: ‘I couldn’t agree more! I came here with your brother once. It was way better.’
They also recorded a photographer taking photos of them having lunch at Joan’s on Third in Studio City, California, as they tried to make their ‘date’ look as realistic as possible.
Jake told Tana on camera as he set up the prank: ‘You and I should get in a fake relationship in front of the paparazzi and troll the entire internet.’
However, after setting up a few cuddly and kissy photos, Tana admitted: ‘Logan and I really tried but I just don’t think we’re compatible.’
Jake told his viewers: ‘And just like that, I was in another scandal. After just a few hours, the news broke that Tana Mongeau cosied up to Logan Paul and was spotted getting a kiss.’
Tana could then be heard on speakerphone to Logan, saying that although it had made the news, several people took it to be Logan being a caring former brother in law rather than a romantic partner to Tana.
Logan also admitted that Jake was annoyed by the thought of Tana and Logan hooking up (as he didn’t know it was all a hoax) and got really angry at him.
He then filmed a tense exchange with Jake in the car as Jake admitted the photos ‘triggered a PTSD’ within him and it ‘hurt his heart’ as it reminded him of the ‘old version’ of Logan Paul who they both hate.
Logan apologised to his brother, at which point Jake burst out laughing and admitted he had been pranking him right back by pretending to be upset about the photos.
Now that’s instant karma right there.
