She was later seen being escorted by a number of men around Melbourne Showgrounds, gaining the adoring attention of fans.

Addressing the crowd at her Red Room show at Sydney’s The Beresford on Saturday, the 31-year-old recited a self-love mantra, The Daily Telegraph reports.

She then explained her philosophy: ‘I’m all about body positivity and self-love because I believe that we can save the world if we first save ourselves’.

Earlier this week, Lizzo spoke out about body positivity in a candid interview.

She proudly told The Daily Telegraph her music ‘encourages kids to love themselves and accept their bodies’ – adding that bringing positive change was always her ‘goal’ in the industry.

Her words came just days after celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels made a string of controversial comments about her weight, asking: ‘Why are we celebrating her body?’ in a now viral interview.

Speaking to the publication – without referencing Jillian’s words – Lizzo said: ‘Now, there’s a whole new generation of kids listening to music that encourages them to love themselves and accept their bodies.

‘And I remember what listening to music did for me, what other artists have done for me growing up, and it’s really full circle to see that start to happen with my music.

‘That was the goal – to help bring some type of positive change and positive influence to the world and the way we feel about ourselves and this is really starting to happen now.’

On Wednesday, Jillian had discussed the singer’s body during an appearance on M2DM by BuzzFeed News.

‘I love her music, 100 percent… but why are we celebrating her body? Why does it matter?’ the fitness pro, 45, said. ‘That’s what I’m saying: Why aren’t we celebrating her music?’

She then pivoted to talking about Lizzo’s weight and how she feels it’s endangering her health.

‘Cause it isn’t gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes – I’m just being honest. There’s never a moment where I’m like: I’m so glad she’s overweight!’

The remarks were skewered by many on social media, with many defending Lizzo – who is touring Australia – for her body positivity and infectious self-esteem.

‘I don’t really give two s***s about Jillian Michaels,’ one user wrote, ‘but we celebrate Lizzo because Lizzo unapologetically celebrates Lizzo and encourages everyone to celebrate themselves, so Jillian can f*** all the way off to whatever washboard ab mountain of misery she sits atop.’

Jillian added: 'Cause it isn't gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes - I'm just being honest. There's never a moment where I'm like: I'm so glad she's overweight!'
