Lizzo taught us all a lesson in branding as she dressed up as a giant DNA test for Halloween.
With the unforgettable words ‘I just took a DNA test, turns out I’m 100% that b****’ having caused Lizzo quite the drama this October, the singer was determined to show that the Truth Hurts lyric was more treat than trick as she transformed herself into the item.
Wearing a huge (glittery, of course) homemade cardboard kit, the Juice star was seen dancing to the sleeper hit, opening the door on the renowned line to reveal a nude coloured bodysuit emblazoned with the world’s ‘100% that b****’ in colourful letters.
Tying the look together, Lizzo held a massive cotton bud as she bopped along to the track.

It’s not the first time Lizzo has incorporated the legendary line into her outfits, wearing a pair of trousers with a sparkling ‘100%’ on the leg and ‘that b****’ on the back during a recent gig at the Hollywood Bowl.
Truth Hurts has come under scrutiny recently after songwriter and producer Justin Raisen claimed to have written the lyric.
Fighting back, Lizzo filed a lawsuit against Justin and his brother Jeremiah, but gave a shared credit to Mina Lioness, the British musician who originally tweeted the meme that inspired Lizzo.
The 31-year-old explained her stance in a statement on Instagram, writing: ‘Hey y’all… As I’ve shared before, in 2017, while working on a demo, I saw a meme that resonated with me, a meme that made me feel like 100% that b***h.
‘I sang that line in the demo, and I later used the line in Truth Hurts. The men who now claim a piece of Truth Hurts did not help me write any part of the song. They had nothing to do with the line or how I chose to sing it.’
‘That song is my life, and its words are my truth,’ she continued. ‘I later learned that a tweet inspired the meme.
‘The creator of the tweet is the person I am sharing my success with… not these men. Period.’
