Liz Hurley is celebrating both the warmer weather in the UK as well as a new addition to the household in the form of an adorable new puppy.

Sadly the actress lost her beloved Labrador Raja last month, however she showed us all the cute little creature that had mended her heart.

Taking to Instagram today, the 53-year-old donned a sparkly bikini and rolled around with her new furry friend.

As she posed in the green grass, she wrote: ‘Bikini weather and puppy: what a perfect day.’

In one shot she held Ava up to the camera, with the little dog staring down the lens like the Instagram-bait she is. While in another, Liz lovingly held her aloft as the mother-of-one beamed.

We can bet a few people would give up a lot to be in that position.

Just a day ago we were introduced to baby Ava, the Hurley’s new family member as Liz took to social media to show off the adorable pup.

Fans took to the comment section to fawn not only over Liz, but over the new addition.

‘What a seriously perfect day,’ one excited punter wrote.

Another added adorably: ‘She is so beautiful!’

It came just weeks after the Austin Powers star took to Instagram in late April to share a message with her followers, letting them know her dog Raja was now in ‘doggy heaven.’

Along with the message, Liz shared a sweet shot of her with Raja, as the pampered pooch held one paw in Liz’s hands while the actress gave the doggo a pat as they lapped up the sunshine.

She wrote: ‘Goodbye to my beloved Raja. May you chase bunnies for all eternity in doggy heaven. You were the best and most loyal friend for eleven beautiful years.’

Her 17-year-old son Damian also paid tribute to the family pooch, as he posted a sweet shot of him lying in some grass the Raja.

He wrote alongside the Instagram: ‘Rest easy little one. Heaven gained the sweetest, most loyal and kind dog today, will think of and love you forever and always x.’
