Liverpool's Loris Karius transfer plans revealed amid Besiktas frustration

Liverpool will not cut short Loris Karius’ loan spell at Besiktas and recall him to Anfield.

Besiktas are said to be considering trying to send Karius back to Liverpool because they are unhappy with his performances, according to sources in Turkey.

But it is understood the Super Lig side have not contacted Liverpool and there is no clause in his two-year loan agreement to end the deal early.

Liverpool agreed a £2.25million loan fee with Besiktas in August with a view to the Istanbul club signing the German goalkeeper permanently for £7.25million in 2020.

Boss Jurgen Klopp allowed Karius to leave ahead of Simon Mignolet in the summer following his £67million signing of Alisson to become his new No 1.

Loris Karius reacts

Klopp knew he needed a new keeper because of Karius’ two howlers in Liverpool’s Champions League Final defeat to Real Madrid , but did not want to block his compatriot’s career by keeping him on the bench at Anfield.

Karius, 25, made a mistake on his Besiktas debut in September as he conceded a late equaliser against Bursaspor and was also at fault in their Europa League defeat to Malmo in October.

Turkish fans have criticised him for his inconsistent displays and he hit back when he kept only his sixth clean sheet in 27 games against Goztepe on Saturday.

He celebrated his clean sheet on Instagram with a message showing an emoji signalling quiet in response to the flak he has taken.

Alberto Moreno is also planning for life after Liverpool and he is wanted by Lazio on a Bosman.

Moreno, 26, has made just five appearances this season because of Andy Robertson’s fine form and will quit Anfield in the summer when his contact expires.

Liverpool have no plans to offer new terms to the the Spanish left-back, who cost £12million from Sevilla in 2014.

Alberto Moreno is set to leave Liverpool

Moreno is in Rome this week, visiting his old Liverpool pal Lucas, and he could be reunited with him and former Red Luis Alberto at Lazio.

Lazio are said to be willing to offer Moreno a five-year deal to move to Serie A.
