Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has tipped the Reds to sign Fabian Ruiz to strengthen their ageing midfield.
The 23-year-old Napoli star hasn’t been linked with a move to Liverpool, but Heskey reckons Jurgen Klopp’s side would love to have someone like Ruiz in their ranks.
Liverpool have a sensational front three with Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane pretty much untouchable.
The Reds’ defence also picks itself with Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold three of the first names on Klopp’s team-sheet.
Midfield is perhaps the only position Liverpool could strengthen, and Heskey believes Ruiz would be a great addition at Anfield.

“Fabian Ruiz looks like a phenomenal player and Liverpool’s midfield is an area that needs strengthening a little bit with it ageing,” Heskey told GentingBet.
“A player like that would be good for Liverpool. Someone who can drive from the midfield, someone who can create stuff – he is a player that I’m sure Liverpool would love to have.”

Liverpool have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent months, with Bayer Leverkusen Kai Havertz and former Reds star Philippe Coutinho reportedly on the radar of the Anfield club.
Klopp generally keeps his cards close to his chest where transfers are concerned, and has also made an effort to ignore big names and sign up-and-coming players in recent windows.
