Jurgen Klopp has a number of key selection decisions to make as Liverpool look to continue their perfect start to the Premier League season at home to Leicester.
The Reds were pushed all the way by Red Bull Salzburg in their Champions League group stage clash on Wednesday, eventually beating the Austrian outfit 4-3.
Now it is back to the domestic grind for Liverpool, who are hunting their eighth league victory of the season after a narrow 1-0 win over Sheffield United last weekend.
Klopp has a big call to make concerning his goalkeepers with Alisson nearing a return to full fitness, having suffered a calf injury in the opening game of the campaign against Norwich.
Adrian has proved an able deputy for the Brazilian but is sure to make way once Alisson is passed fit by the club’s medical staff, although the clash with Leicester could come too soon.
Meanwhile, Joel Matip missed the win over Salzburg after suffering a knock last weekend and remains a doubt to face the Foxes.
Xherdan Shaqiri is also struggling with a calf injury but was not expected to start while Nathaniel Clyne remains a long-term absentee.
Joe Gomez deputised for Matip in midweek and could continue alongside Virgil van Dijk in central defence, with the 22-year-old’s pace vital in combating Jamie Vardy.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson will continue in the full-back roles while Fabinho and Jordan Henderson should start.
Naby Keita could complete the midfield trio at the expense of Georginio Wijnaldum while James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are further options for Klopp.
In attack, Roberto Firmino will lead the line once more while Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are expected to support the Brazilian after their goals against Salzburg.
As for Leicester, former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is sweating on the fitness of James Maddison after an ankle knock but is expected to have the 22-year-old available.
