Liverpool team LEAKED to face Newcastle: Jurgen Klopp makes key striker decision

The Reds know it is crucial for them to win in order to keep the pressure on Manchester City in the title race.

But a trip to Newcastle is not the easiest match Liverpool could face at the business end of the season.

The leaked team suggests Divock Origi will lead the line with Roberto Firmino still struggling with his fitness.

The Belgian will be flanked by Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah on either wing.

Meanwhile, Joel Matip drops out after the Champions League defeat to Barcelona in midweek.

That means Trent Alexander-Arnold returns with Joe Gomez moving to centre-back alongside Virgil van Dijk.

The midfielder will be comprised of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Newcastle vs Liverpool kicks off at 7.45pm this evening.

Naby Keita has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an abductor injury.

Ahead of the match Klopp said: “He was in a really good moment – a really, really good moment – but it happened, that’s how football and life sometimes are.

“It’s not too nice, but it’s very serious.”

And Klopp also gave an update on whether Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would make an appearance for Liverpool at Newcastle.

“It’s perfect that he’s back,” said the manager on the former Arsenal star.

“We will see. It’s very good that Ox is there and he will be for sure in the squad. Then we have to make a decision who starts.”

Expected Liverpool line-up:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Origi
