Bruno Fernandes favours a move to Manchester United over Tottenham Hotspur as he feels it will benefit his career more.

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder’s future is up in the air, with Liverpool also believed to be in the hunt to sign him.

His 20 goals and 13 assists in just 33 Liga NOS games have sparked a frenzy to land him, with a move to the Premier League the most likely outcome.

United are now thought to be the favourites for his signature, with Fernandes keen to guarantee first-team football.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s central midfield options were limited prior to Ander Herrera’s departure and Paul Pogba’s future is still not guaranteed.

And Fernandes thinks he will have the best shot of being a success in a team where he’s a regular starter, according to A Bola.

With Spurs closing in on Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele in a £60million deal, Fernandes believes United would be a better destination.

However, the Red Devils are unwilling to pay the full £70m to land the Portugal international, with negotiations ongoing.

It’s thought that Liverpool have lodged a £40m bit and are unwilling to raise their offer.
