Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp blocked loan deals for some of his fringe kids because of their heavy fixture programme.

But Jones’ form has alerted a handful of clubs and Rovers will retain their interest if the youngster wants first-team experience.

The confident starlet made his debut in last season’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Wolves.

And he burst onto the scene in this season’s competition, curling home a stunning Merseyside Derby winner against Everton last month.

After his life-changing goal, he told reporters: “Being a young lad and a local lad, playing for the club and the fans I love, it’s massive.

“Myself and rest of the younger lads went out and showed what a great bunch of talents we are and how we are trying to push for a spot in this team.

“To me, it’s the best team in the world.

“I dream of a lot of things but this one was ahead of a dream.

“There are world-class players all over this team but I think I went out and showed what I could do. It’s massive for me and the rest of the young boys.”

He also netted the winning penalty in the shootout victory over Arsenal in the EFL Cup earlier this season after a bonkers 5-5 draw.

In total he has made seven senior appearances for the Reds, scoring twice.

Meanwhile, Blackburn are ready to appoint ex-Leeds winger Bruno Ribeiro as their European scout.

Ribeiro will look out for talent in his Portugal homeland and further afield.
