Liverpool star Mohamed Salah reveals what Jurgen Klopp has told squad about winning title

The Reds had a campaign to remember last time out as they won the Champions League and came second to Manchester City by a single point in the Premier League.

And Klopp has told his Liverpool team to go again as they look to end their years without a top flight title.

Salah has revealed exactly what the German said to his Red ahead of the new season.

The Egypt international told CNN: “Keep working hard and if you want to win another thing you have to work harder than maybe did in the last season and you have to really be humble, and okay, Champions League is over.

“It was last year, so forget it. Fight for the new trophies again this season.”

Salah admits there will always be expectation from Liverpool fans to win trophies because of the size and history of the club.

“If you play in a club like Liverpool, there’s always big expectation,” Salah added.

“You have to win something.

“So there’s always expectation high in the football. So not even if it’s not from yourselves, from the people because they want to see the club winning something.”

Liverpool have started the season well, winning their opening two Premier League matches.

They also beat Chelsea in the European Super Cup on penalties.

Liverpool face their biggest test this weekend though as they take on Arsenal on Saturday in the Premier League (5.30pm).

Meanwhile, Adrian has confirmed he has slept with the Super Cup trophy after becoming an instant hero in the shootout victory.

He said: “After just one week, I played in the Super Cup and got this great feeling. I felt full of happiness in myself.

“I was having dinner with the guys after the game and I spoke with Millie and he said, ‘OK, do you want to take the trophy with you?’.

“I said, ‘I will sleep with her, I’m more than happy to sleep with her!’.”
