Liverpool predicted line up and team news for FA Cup visit to Shrewsbury Town

Jurgen Klopp will give Liverpool’s young players a chance to impress in Sunday’s FA Cup visit to Shrewsbury Town.

Klopp is expected to give his frontline stars a breather, and that means playmaker Curtis Jones, 18, midfielder Harvey Elliott, 16, and defender Neco Williams, 18, could take centre stage against the League One ide.

However, the Liverpool boss is likely to play centre-backs Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip – recently returned from injury – Fabinho and Divock Origi.

Naby Keita could also be in line for a comeback following almost a month out with a groin problem after he returned to training.

Adam Lallana could also be involved if he recovers from illness, but fellow midfielders James Milner (hamstring) and Xherdan Shaqiri (knock) are unavailable.

Left-back Andy Robertson has every confidence that the club’s rising stars can earn Liverpool a place in the fifth round.

He said: “Maybe people didn’t believe us, but when you see the young lads, such as Curtis and Harvey, they are pushing Mo Salah, they are pushing Jordan Henderson in these positions because they are really good and the manager has shown he’s not scared to blood them in big games.”

Shrewsbury boss Sam Ricketts has a full squad to pick from for Sunday’s glamour tie against the world and European champions.

Ricketts must decide whether to give either of his January signings a debut in the televised fixture.
