Liverpool moved a step closer towards the Premier League title as they ground out a 1-0 win at Carrow Road. Jurgen Klopp’s men struggled until the second half, when the introduction of Sadio Mane saw them kickstart into life. A handful of players gave Jurgen Klopp food for thought for Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Atletico Madrid, Express Sport looks at how Liverpool’s players rated in the win in East Anglia.

Alisson – 7

Huge save as Lukas Rupp tried to round him in the first half.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6

Wasn’t as influential as usual, couldn’t make his mark with his crossing.

Virgil Van Dijk – 7

Had a header blocked from a corner, didn’t have much to do.

Joe Gomez – 7

Did what he had to do, which wasn’t a great deal particularly in the second half.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6

Showed promise but lacked sharpness.

Mohamed Salah – 7

Looked capable of making something out of nothing. Touch slightly off the pace when it mattered.

Roberto Firmino – 6

Quiet afternoon from the Brazilian. Missed an open goal to add a second from Alexander-Arnold’s cross.

Subs

Sadio Mane – 9

Upped the tempo, real bright spark and got his reward when he netted the winner. Match-winner.

Fabinho – 7

Used the ball well and helped drive Liverpool onto victory.
