Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea told Jadon Sancho transfer 'will look cheap' in 10 years

Jamie Carragher has told Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea that the reported figure of £100million for Jadon Sancho will look cheap in ten years if they capture the England international.

Sancho is set to spark a major transfer battle this summer with the 19-year-old set to leave Borussia Dortmund.

Since the start of last season, Sancho has scored 28 goals in 72 appearances.

This season, despite issues on and off the pitch, he’s bagged 12 goals and 13 assists in 19 league games.

That form has led to Sancho being linked with all of the top clubs in Europe with Liverpool, United and Chelsea all understood to have an interest in him.

And Carragher believes that the club signs Sancho should not be worried about the fee.

He told Sky Sports: ”I think he’ll have his pick of top clubs in the Premier League, and though the fee may look eye-watering, I think it’ll be one of them that over time will look cheap.

“You’re going to get a good player for 10 years there if you keep him at your club.

“If you think about the development of Raheem Sterling at Manchester City, it feels like something similar could happen.

“[I can’t] reliably answer today [if Sancho will stay at Dortmund beyond the summer].

“What I can say for sure is that he feels very comfortable with us. Otherwise he could not produce such [high-level] performances week after week.

“He is a phenomenon and is now producing top performances. And he rarely takes a break on the pitch, helping the team with their defensive work.

“He is hard-working and gets the greatest of respect from me.”
