Liverpool fans all say the same thing after Harry Wilson scores yet again for Bournemouth

Harry Wilson was on the scoresheet yet again for Bournemouth in the first half of their south coast clash with Southampton.

The Liverpool loanee’s effort was his third already in the Premier League after a long-range strike against Aston Villa and a stunning free-kick against Manchester City.

The 22-year-old is enjoying his first campaign of regular minutes at Premier League level, after a season-long stint with Derby County in the Championship last term.

Wilson lit up the second division under Frank Lampard at Pride Park, managing 18 goals and six assists across all competitions.

And he has translated that form to England’s highest tier, with an average of above one goal every two games.

Acknowledging his eye-catching form for Bournemouth, Liverpool fans took to Twitter after his latest effort to plead with Jurgen Klopp to keep the forward.

It was decided a season away from Anfield was best for his development as opposed to sitting on the bench behind the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane but Liverpool supporters are keen to see if Wales international Wilson can make the grade at his boyhood club next year.

“Harry Wilson is talented, he deserves to play for Liverpool next season. If we sell or loan him again next season, it will be a real waste,” one fan wrote on social media.

Another said: “We need to keep hold of @harrywilson_ Brilliant goal…”

A third tweeted: “Hope Harry Wilson keeps developing and producing. Would love to see him make it at Anfield.”

“Klopp, you watching? Harry Wilson stays next season,” demanded another.

“I think we are starting to see why Klopp sold Kent but only loaned out Wilson. Still believe he has a big future at @LFC,” said one more excited fan.

Another said: “Lionel Wilson my boy. Klopp have faith and use this lad properly I beg you. The boy is good.”

Wilson – the youngest ever player to play for Wales – is under contract until 2023 and is thought to have been valued at close to £25million last summer, though that fee could continue to rise if he maintains his current form.

The former Liverpool under-23s captain has scored 11 goals from outside the box since the start of last season, more than any other player in England.
