Liverpool fans all say the same thing after Bobby Duncan scores a screamer for Fiorentina

Liverpool fans are all saying the same thing after Bobby Duncan posted a video of himself scoring a stunning goal for Fiorentina under-19s.

Duncan picked up the ball on the half-turn just beyond the halfway line, and started running forward.

As he reached around 30 yards out, he smashed the ball toward goal, and his rocket of a shot nestled into the bottom left-hand corner.

But, Liverpool fans have responded to the tweet making jokes about Duncan’s lack of first-team action in Italy.

The 18-year-old was seemingly unhappy about his lack of opportunities at Liverpool, and moved to Fiorentina in search of regular first-team football.

In the days leading up to his exit from Anfield this summer, Duncan’s agent Saif Rubie engaged in a public spat with Jamie Carragher on Twitter about Duncan’s future.

Rubie claimed that Duncan was being kept at Liverpool against his will by the club’s sporting director Michael Edwards.

After making his move to Italy, he moved into Fiorentina’s under-19 squad, and Liverpool fans made their feelings known towards their former player.

“Glad you’re getting that first team football you wanted lad,” joked one Liverpool fan on Twitter.

Another fan tweeted: “Boss goal lad, hopefully you’ll be promoted to the U14s after that.”

“What an agent.. all the way from Liverpool U23’s with potential for the first team to Fiorentina U19’s.. mans a genius,” added another Reds supporter.

One Twitter user said: “That Fiorentinas first team?”, while another sarcastically tweeted “That doesn’t look like the first team to me?”.

“As far as I know you went there to play with the senior team!! The question now is their academy better than Liverpool!!!” replied another Liverpool fan.

“Wow Serie A first team attendances have really dropped off,” joked another fan. “What? This isn’t a first team game? Wtf? Thought you made your big move so you could play first team football?”

“Was that for the senior team yeah?!” said one fan, while another said: “Nice to see your playing first team now mate.”

Duncan has scored three goals in three games for the Italian team’s under-19s since joining the club, despite being yet to play a full 90 minutes.
