Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Harvey Elliott from Fulham.

The teenage winger became the youngest debutant in Premier League history last season when he featured against Wolves aged 16 years and 30 days.

Elliott made a total of three senior appearances for the Cottagers during the 2018-19 campaign and attracted interest from Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.

But Liverpool have won the race to secure Elliott’s signature and confirmed on Sunday morning that the winger had arrived at Anfield from west London.

The England youth international will be part of the Liverpool squad for Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Napoli and the subsequent training camp in Evian.

Elliott becomes just Liverpool’s second signing of the summer, after fellow youngster Sepp van den Berg clinched a £1.3million deal to Anfield earlier in the month.

Following a season in which Liverpool won the Champions League and finished second in the Premier League, Klopp has admitted the club will not be busy during the summer transfer window.

Asked about Liverpool’s transfer plans last week, Klopp told the ECHO: ‘We are still looking, but it will not be the [biggest] transfer window of LFC.

‘It just will be a transfer window. We will see what we do, and if we haven’t done anything by the end it will be for different reasons.

‘It’s about using this team. In the transfer window, you have to build a team that you think you want to go into the season with. But I have that team already.

‘If we can bring somebody else in that makes it even better, we will see. But if not, this team is already there. And again we will have to find solutions at different moments.’

Liverpool kick-start their 2019-20 Premier League campaign against Norwich City on August 9.
