The X Factor group were put together by the judges on the show before turning into the four ladies we now know as Little Mix.
While the ladies went on to win the series and hit record-breaking sales in the years since, they almost didn’t get through.
Considering a number of successful acts don’t go on to achieve the same experience as Little Mix, it’s shocking to find out the producers weren’t a fan of the girls.
Jesy Nelson revealed they only managed to bag a place in the live shows because of Tulisa, and they got to the final based on public votes.

In a letter written to her former self, Jesy shared with Bustle: “Make sure you thank Tulisa, too.
“Honestly, without her, I don’t think you would have won.”
She added: “She pushed for you when the producers said, ‘What’s the point of putting a girl band through? They never win, it’s a waste of time.’
“She convinced them. She is all about female empowerment and so are you.”

Tulisa gushed over the girls from start to finish throughout their time on the show, and she shared her constant support.
While there’s been no official reunion lately, Tulisa and Little Mix often exchange comments on Instagram.
As Jesy continued to gush over her time on the show, she told her younger self: “Winning will be one of the best things to ever happen to you.
“You’re not going to have a bloody clue how the industry works, but you will learn.”

She explained how she went through a lot of s**t after winning the show, but ultimately it’s been positive.
In the years since, Little Mix have released a number of hit albums and toured worldwide.
Their latest album was dropped last year and they’re gearing up to release another song this week.
