Little Mix tour cancelled: How to get your ticket refunded

Little Mix is a band loved by fans all over the world. Since their success on The X Factor they have become global superstars, with songs every fan loves. Now, fans are devastated to hear the upcoming Little Mix tour has been cancelled due to the coronavirus.

In a statement released on Twitter, the Little Mix girls said: “We are so sad to announced that following the latest government advice, we have to cancel our upcoming UK Summer Tour.

“The health and safety of all our fans and crew is always our number one priority.

“Please look out for an email from your ticketing agent shortly.

“Please only contact them if you have not received an email by May 5th.

“Please stay safe and stay home, lots of love, the girls x”

In their statement the girls make clear there will be paths available for those with tickets to the show, however they have not specified if that is for a refund or a rescheduled ticket for a show, perhaps to take place at another time.

However, at the moment, given the number of shows which are being cancelled all over the country, there will likely be refund processes in place.

Fans’ ticket agencies will be in touch by May 5 about refunds or rescheduled tickets, and the girls have suggested fans reach out to the relevant agent for more information if they have not been in touch by that time.

Some venues have promised refunds within 30 days, such as West Homes Stadium in Peterborough, while Ticketmaster has released a statement to fans.

The statement reads: “If there are changes to your event you will receive an email with guidance on how to proceed. The team are working hard to update everyone on their events. Please keep an eye on your emails.”

Little Mix is yet to announce if they will re-schedule the dates and whether current ticket-holders will be given tickets to re-scheduled shows.

The tour had been due to kick off in June with Little Mix playing stadiums across the country, and they were even performing in London’s Hyde Park on July 4.

The band has recently released a new song, Break Up Song, and was likely to debut it in all its fullness live as part of their shows.

However, they have not stopped performing, and performing at One World Together At Home to help raise funds for charity during the COVID-19 crisis.

Perrie Edwards, one of the band members, said NHS staff and other key workers “all deserve such a huge thank you” for their efforts.

The girl group were among the UK acts who took part in the British version of the concert on Sunday, along with Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Sir Tom Jones and the Rolling Stones.

The concert was aimed to celebrate frontline workers, and followed the same concert in the USA which took place on Saturday, which included stars such as Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish.

Another big piece of news to come during the coronavirus lockdown for the Little Mix girls was the announcement that Jesy Nelson and her boyfriend, Love Island’s Chris Hughes, had split up after 16 months together.

A source told The Sun Online: “Jesy and Chris split up a couple of weeks ago. It was all very amicable and they’re still really good friends.

“Jesy rang Chris and led the conversation about their relationship and both agreed that it felt like it had run its course – they’re both absolutely fine.”

The couple had been isolating separately since the lockdown began, perhaps showing cracks in their relationship.

The split came only a week after Break Up Song was released, sparking speculation the song is about Nelson and Hughes.

Alongside this news, two of the other Little Mix girls have been using their boyfriends as sources of entertainment, a segment on This Morning revealed.

In the segment, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock were shown pranking their boyfriends online, by performing tasks from their homes and communicating about it on video chat.

In one of the pranks, the girls had to retrieve an item their boyfriends would not want broadcasted, and both Pinnock and the fourth bandmate, Perrie Edwards, opted for a pair of underwear.

For those with Little Mix tickets, ticket agents should contact you via email with information on refunds or other compensation
