Lisa Armstrong is dedicating some special time to her family in the wake of her father’s death.
Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife lost her father Derek, 71, two weeks ago, after a year-long battle with cancer.
The 42-year-old is now spending the day with her mother Linda as she relished ‘family time’ in a sweet picture on Twitter.
London-based make-up artist Lisa has reportedly been making regular visits back to the Oxford family home to be close to Derek and Linda over the last year.
Her father is believed to have passed away peacefully at home on May 14 after falling ‘seriously ill’ last year.
His plight reportedly saw him in and out of hospital for the last year. all while Lisa was publicly dealing with her divorce from Britain’s Got Talent star Ant.
It’s the first picture Lisa has posted since her father’s passing, but she has remained active on Twitter.
Two weeks ago, she vowed to ‘keep moving’ by reposting an inspirational quote about painful moments in life.
The post said: ‘There’s going to be very painful moments in your life that will change your entire world in a matter of minutes.
‘These moments will change YOU. Let them make you stronger, smarter and kinder. But don’t you go and become someone that you are not.
‘Cry. Scream if you have to. Then you straighten out that crown and keep it moving.’
