Line Of Duty’s Vicky McClure uses social distancing time brilliantly as she smashes TikTok challenge

Vicky McClure is using her coronavirus social distancing time in the best way – by dancing up the stairs with her best friend.

After Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Perrie Edwards showed off their dance moves during self-isolation, they unwittingly threw down a gauntlet to what we could all be spending our quarantine time doing.

And the Line Of Duty star took a break from figuring out who the elusive H is, and picked said gauntlet up.

Taking to Instagram, the 36-year-old shared a video of herself and pal Chella busting out the TikTok dance challenge, to Cheat Codes’ Pretty Girl.

Alongside the clip, she told fans: ‘Due to high demand requests and with Chella’s reluctant blessing this one can also now take a place on my grid!!’

Right on cue, fans rushed to flood Vicky’s post with praise – with many stunned that the pair managed to smash the challenge.

‘That really cheered me up, thank you xx,’ a follower replied.

Another posted: ’That made me proper laugh…thank you!!!’

‘I know if I attempted this, I’d trip over my own feet,’ an Instagram user added.

Us too, hun, and we’ve got the bruises to prove it.

Vicky’s post comes after it was announced that Line Of Duty had paused filming amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The actress – who plays Kate Fleming in the BBC drama – had just started shooting for season six, alongside Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar.

But producers decided to suspend filming on the upcoming show, as well as Peaky Blinders, for safety reasons.

‘In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, the producers Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions of Peaky Blinders S6 have postponed filming, and World Productions on Line of Duty S6 have suspended filming, both in consultation with and supported by the BBC,’ said a BBC spokesperson.

‘We will continue to review all productions on a case-by-case basis and will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the Foreign Office, World Health Organization and Public Health England.’

We wonder how long it’ll be before Hastings gets in on the quarantine dancing action…
