Line of Duty’s Martin Compston has had the best reunion with Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar ahead of series six, while potentially dropping a huge spoiler on us.

The 35-year-old – who plays Steve Arnott in the BBC drama – delighted fans with a glimpse into his evening with his co-stars as they caught up over a pint.

And it has warmed our hearts.

‘Cannae beat a catch up with these two,’ he captioned the shot for his 163k followers.

‘Next time we’ll most likely be in uniform or at least Adrian will I’ll be in a new 3 piece.’

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Adrian (aka Ted Hastings) was wearing a blue jacket with ‘HH’ on the chest, leading many to leap to conclusions that this was a massive spoiler for the upcoming season.

Y’know, after we all spent most of series five convinced that Ted was the elusive corrupt police officer H…

Sliding into the comments, one wrote: ‘Double H!!!! Spoiler alert!’

‘Hastings even has H on his jacket,’ another suggested.

An Instagram user penned: ‘look at the letters on his jacket H.’

While others ignored potential clues and were just thrilled to see the AC12 gang back together again.

‘This makes me very happy!!!! Xx,’ a follower said.

As a fan added: ‘The f**king dream team mate.’

Line of Duty viewers were obsessed with series five, pouring over every single second in an attempt to uncover the identity of H.

Those watching on from home came up with some pretty outlandish theories, suggesting the elusive H could be Kate Fleming (Vicky), Ted Hastings, or someone else entirely.

And Vicky revealed she loved seeing some of the ‘extreme’ thoughts people had on Jed Mercurio’s police drama.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, she told us: ‘People’s thoughts were extreme. Some of them were really on to it. Coming to the end of series five, some of them were clued up but the majority of people didn’t predict the ending.

‘The amount of theories were brilliant. People were [thinking], “It’s an object because it’s got H on top of the building”. It was just one extreme to the other, it was great.

‘That’s why Jed [Mercurio, series creator] is a clever, clever man.’

Jed recently revealed we could be blessed with series six in 2020 – but he wasn’t able to ‘confirm’ this.

Line of Duty series 1 one to five is available to stream on Netflix.
