Line of Duty 'H' identity as bookies reveal odds on the fourth man

It’s the question on everybody’s lips ahead of Line of Duty’s big finale on Sunday as we all want to know who will be unveiled as the elusive H.

The BBC police drama will reveal all from 9pm, but in the meantime, the bookies have compiled their list of favourites – and there’s an extra person in there you might not expect.

Whilst the odds are just 2/1 for favourite Patricia Carmichael, there could be someone else to come forward – and that is a ‘mystery’ person at 4/1.

Also at 4/1 is Philip Osborne while the soon to be retired Ted Hastings comes in at 8/1.

Of course, looking at number one favourite Patricia, it’s not entirely clear it’s her on account of the much-discussed ‘definately’ spelling mistake.

According to fans of the show, if the elusive H was in fact the hated Patricia Carmichael, then the word would most certainly have been spelled correctly.

Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom said: “Line of Duty fans have been obsessed with finding out who H is for years – and mother of god, it is the show’s current big baddie Patricia Carmichael who is leading the way in the betting at 2/1, closely followed by Chief Constable Philip Osborne at 4/1.

“While question marks on Ted Hastings for a number of series has him in third favourite at 8/1, we haven’t ruled out the ultimate twist of Kate Fleming in fact being part of OCG all along – while it is just 4/1 for H to be someone we have not yet encountered as the show reaches its climax next week.”

The other odds are below with Martin Compston’s character Steve Arnott providing the best odds at 33/1.
