Lindsay Lohan claims her Mykonos beach club is just moving after it was reported closed

It was reported that Lindsay Lohan’s beach club on the Greek island Mykonos had been closed, and her MTV reality show about the location had been canceled earlier Tuesday.

But now the 32-year-old actress is telling those looking into the shuttered club to ‘chill out’ and ‘write something real for once’ via her Instagram.

The former Disney star shared the two combative posts in response to a story published by Page Six.

She first responded with a photo that showed an array of blue and white pillows around a stylish hot tub, presumably at her Mykonos club.

‘I prefer my real life to be working with children and being with my family. The club is moving to other locations in the world, but not just the club, as I’ve stated on @wendyshow — so chill out page six,’ she wrote, followed by a series of see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil apes.

The Instagram post was quickly deleted, and replaced by a photo of a set of children, which accused Page Six of lying about her and ignoring the plight of Syrian refugees.

‘If you want a true story @pagesix travel to #istanbul and write something real for once,’ she began.

‘It’s sad you don’t report the rest of the world. Children that need attention which I work with and none of you writers try and help. Families that loose [sic] limbs in Syria and you write crap stories about celebs. Start writing the damn truth.

‘I pray for you from today and on. I did my best to help this amazing family while you are writing about lies and nonsense. write about this. Not lies.’

Though she claimed to have assisted the family in some way, Lindsay failed to identify the children whose photo she posted.

It’s also not clear what work the I Know Who Killed Me star has been doing with said refugees.

In a bizarre Instagram Live video from September 2018, Lindsay approached a homeless family in Moscow, Russia, claiming they were Syrian refugees.

She offered the family a hotel room at first, but after they refused she attempted to lead one of the children away while loudly saying the family were trafficking the children and ‘ruining Arabic culture by doing this.’

The confrontation got physical as one of the adults appeared to hit the singer in the face, causing her to fall over and allowing them to escape.

It was reported earlier in the day that Lindsay’s reality show for MTV, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, wouldn’t be getting a second season.

Her beach club on the Greek island of Mykonos, the location for the series, was also reportedly closed.

The series debuted in January 2019 to strong ratings, but brutal reviews and swiftly declining viewership put the show on shaky footing.

MTV initially considering expanding the Lohan family footprint, but that move stalled out.

‘There was a renewal idea that producers hoped would perk it up for a second season,’ said a source close to the production. ‘It would be turned into a show about Lindsay and [her mother] Dina and [sister] Ali, [but] that wasn’t going to happen.’

It’s not clear if the network balked at the idea of retooling the show, or if Dina and Ali weren’t interested in joining the series.

Ironically, Lindsay Lohan’s more stable condition reportedly hurt the show in the ratings department.

The source said there ‘wasn’t enough drama’ in the show, adding, ‘They wanted ‘breakdowns.’ That’s not where [Lindsay] is at with her life anymore. Their personal business doesn’t need to be aired on television; it’s already in the papers anyway.’

Despite the claims that a second season won’t be happening, another source close to MTV said the network is still looking for ways to resuscitate the show.

But the Mean Girls star shut the door on the possibility. A rep for Lindsay said ‘she is not doing another season.’

According to Page Six, a TripAdvisor number for Lindsay’s Mykonos club wasn’t working, and another number was redirected to her nightclub in Athens, Greece.

Another source told the publication: ‘A friend had reservations [at Lohan Beach House Mykonos] this week, and the club just called and said that they will not be opening this season.’

The club was also closed in May.

‘They advertised being open for [the] summer season, specifically late May,’ wrote a commenter online. ‘We drove past and it’s literally [deserted] . . . The Lohan sign is stripped off.’

Lindsay’s first opened a nightclub in Athens in October 2016, dubbed Lohan Nightclub and financed in collaboration with her ex-business partner Dennis Papageorgiou.

In May 2018, she expanded with Lohan Beach House Mykonos, the site of her MTV reality series.

She later added a third Greek location on the island of Rhodes.

Unlike her nightclub, the ‘day clubs’ are prime spots by the sea, where guests can reserve beach umbrellas and cabanas on the beach.

The spot was surprisingly affordable, with a reserved sunbed, plus lunch, dinner, a glass of wine and three cocktails coming out to around $144, according to Refinery29

The series revolved around Lindsay’s management skills and the bartenders and hosts she hired to manage the establishment, dubbed ‘ambassadors.’

While managing her new crew, the actress and singer dealt with rowdy, drunken employees, firing three along the way and ultimately only inviting five of the 12 to work full-time at the club.

Unless they have work lined up at one of Lindsay’s other Greek clubs, it looks like they’re out of a job now.
