Taking to his Facebook page this evening, Sam shared some promising news with fans as he showed his appreciation for the moving ‘Clap for Carers’ campaign that took part at 8pm.

He wrote: “What a truly stunning moment that was. Hearing so many people cheering and sending absolute love to the people who are saving so many lives.

Sam and Linda were hospitalised on Friday due to coronavirus, with Sam revealing that Linda was “at death’s door” on Monday.

Their hospital dash came soon after Linda revealed fears she had the bug on her Twitter account.

She said: “I want to thank you all for your good wishes. Sam and I have had COVID-19 symptoms and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else.

“We are taking it one-day-at-a-time, that’s all we can do. But let me tell you we’ve never felt this ill, EVER!
