Susanna asked Linda about her 10-day stay in hospital, in particular, about the moment when the actress prayed she wouldn’t wake up as her condition was so bad.
“It was absolutely horrendous and I thank God that I’m one of the lucky ones who came through it,” she said before she started to cry.
Fighting through the tears to detail her experience, the Emmerdale star said: “Sam and I were both in A&E at the beginning and we were just looking at each other wondering if we were going to make it through this.
“The second night I was there, Sam was taken downstairs because he tested positive, I tested negative first of all.”
