Lily Allen DELETES Twitter account after furious anti-Tory rants backfire

Lily Allen has been very vocal on her support for the Labour party during the General Election campaign. And after the exit polls predicted a Conservative landslide victory, the 34-year-old tweeted: “Still holding out for a Labour majority”.

However, as the hours ticked by and it became clear Labour had lost many of its seats to the Conservatives, Lily began to fume online.

She wrote on Twitter: “Unchecked targeted bespoke propaganda. We need to start taking this seriously.”

On Instagram this morning, the singer uploaded a sad face emoji to her account where she claimed Prime Minister Boris Johnson won because “racism and misogyny run so deep in this country”.

She vented: “Some say it was Brexit, some day it was Jeremy, personally, and I know no one wants to hear it, I think that racism and misogyny runs so so deep in this country and that Boris won because of his attitude towards those things and not in spite of them.”

Meanwhile, Piers took a moment to congratulate Boris on his victory in the General Election.
