Life after death: Man recounts ‘exceptional’ afterlife account – ‘I met GOD’

The near-death experience was apparently so perfect he wished it could continue forever.

Ben said: “I wish[ed] I never would have come back and wish[ed] I could have just stayed there in that peaceful white place.

“I think it was the waiting room to heaven, and I think God gave me that experience so I wouldn’t be afraid of dying.”

The religious aspect of the experience aside, he also reported improved consciousness and alertness, despite the fact he was technically dead.

However, there is a more rational explanation for visions such as Ben’s.

Dr Sam Parnia is among experts who know such religious visions are, in fact, not evidence of the afterlife, but simply the brain going into survival mode.
