Liam Payne recalls confronting Justin Bieber in his trailer about One Direction ‘feud’

We’re glad these two sorted things out.

Liam Payne has opened up on the so-called ‘feud’ between the One Direction boys and Justin Bieber.

The 26-year-old was a member of the chartopping boyband that was catapulted to stardom alongside Justin, who had similarly made waves as a solo artist.

After the two pop culture juggernauts found themselves in the midst of a pop star rivalry, Liam revealed he confronted Justin, 25, about the competition.

Now saying recently-married Biebs is a ‘nice guy’, the father-of-one spoke about the ongoing feud that kicked off in 2015.

‘Me and Justin had a really long chat once in his trailer,’ he told Mirror Online.

‘There had been 1D and Justin Bieber beef at the time.

‘I went in to say to him: “It’s all good. You don’t need to do whatever”.’

Putting their feud to bed, Liam added: ‘And then we had a really long chat, and he’s a really nice kid.’

We’re glad they worked everything out.

After recently revealing there was little hope One Direction – also made up of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan – were going to get back together, after going on hiatus several years ago, he mentioned who he was close to in the group.

Admitting he hasn’t spoken to Harry in a while, he said he’s still super tight with Louis.

‘I speak to Louis all the time, Louis is great. He’s doing really well,’ he said, following Louis’ devastating loss of his mother and little sister in a few short years.

‘We’ve always had a good connection in the way that we were both trying to manage the band together.

‘And that’s followed into life, and obviously he has been through a hell of a lot.

‘So I’ve tried to be there for him as much as possible, and so does he me.’

The Strip That Down singer recently appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, and was asked by the host whether Zayn, 26, would ever rejoin the group after quitting in March 2015.

Liam said: ‘No, I don’t think that’ll ever happen.

‘When he left, it wasn’t on great terms so I don’t feel like it’s a thing. If he didn’t want to be here, he shouldn’t be here. Which is fine.’

He added: ‘Like I say good for him, he’s gone off and is doing his own thing and he’s doing really well so I don’t want to mess with his stuff… We did a whole stadium tour without him so I feel like it’s fine.’

Following Zayn’s departure One Direction went on to release their fifth album, Made In The AM, but went on hiatus in 2016.
